SSN-less background checks

We removed a major barrier to pros completing background checks —and brought us a little closer to our marketplace trust and safety goal of having a 100% background-checked pro supply.

IMPACT

  • in the two months following launch, over 20% of background checks completed were SSN-less

  • percent of contacts going to background-checked pros increased

  • background checks are now more accessible to a more diverse group of pros
